Week 7

Today was the third day working on this project. Remember after the first demonstration for this project I made a photocopy of my drawing. If you would like you could take this photocopy and make alterations to it like drawing on it or making a texture rubbing onto the paper or collaging on it. If you make alterations you will need to photocopy it again before doing a transfer. I made some alterations in Photoshop but you don't have to make any alterations at all.

It is also important to remember that the photocopy needs to be mirror-imaged. This means that it is flipped so any text in your image would be backwards. The process of transferring the photocopy with flip it back to the correct orientation.

If you need a reminder of how to do photo transfer take a look at the video below.

Next week we will be starting a new project. I will be doing a portrait for my demonstrations but you are welcome to work with any subject matter you want to for this next project. The techniques I cover are very versatile. Come prepared with a new surface to paint on, your usual painting supplies and photo reference to work from.
